Abstract

Beton je materijal koji je zbog svojih dobrih mehaničkih i trajnosnih svojstava postao vodeći materijal za građenje. Cement, kao jedna od sastavnih komponenata betona, veliki je zagađivač okoliša, te se nastoji pronaći alternativno rješenje kako bi zagađenje bilo umanjeno, a kvaliteta betona ostala približno jednaka. Jedno od mogućih alternativnih rješenja je i korištenje alkalno aktiviranih-veziva na bazi otpadnih materijala iz okoline, a jedan od tih materijala je zgura. Glavni razlog zamjene upravo tim materijalima je dostupnost otpadnih materijala kao što su zgura, leteći pepeo i drugi dodaci čija je primjena vrlo česta u proizvodnji betona zbog niske emisije CO2 u usporedbi s portlandcementom, smanjenje potrošnje prirodnih resursa koji se koriste u tehnologiji proizvodnje portlandcementa, te kvalitetnije i efikasnije gospodarenje otpadom. Cilj rada bio je ispitati i usporediti svojstva alkalno-aktiviranih betona na bazi zgure kao vezivom (AAM) , te portlandcementnog betona (OPC) standardnom tehnologijom izvedbe kako bi se utvrdilo može li se alkalno-aktivirani beton koristiti kao alternativa portlandcementnom betonu. Provedena su ispitivanja tlačne čvrstoće, vodonepropusnosti, migracije klorida, otpornosti na smrzavanje i odmrzavanje sa solima za odmrzavanje, karbonatizacija i plinopropusnost uzoraka. Sva ispitivanja provedena su u laboratoriju prema ranije određenim standardima.

Abstract (english)

Concrete is a material that has become the leading building material because of good mechanical and durable properties. Cement, as one of the constituent components of concrete, is a major polluter of the environment, and efforts are being made to find an alternative solution to reduce pollution while maintaining the quality of concrete. One of the possible alternative solutions is the use of alkaline-activated materials based on waste materials from the environment, and one of these materials is slag. The main reason for the replacement with these materials is the availability of waste materials such as slag, fly ash and other additives, the application of which is very common in the production of concrete due to low CO2 emissions compared to Portland cement, the reduction of the consumption of natural resources used in the technology of Portland cement production , and better and more efficient waste management. The aim of the work was to examine and compare the properties of alkali-activated concrete based on slag as a binder, and portland cement concrete with standard performance technology in order to determine whether alkali-activated concrete can be used as an alternative to portland cement concrete. Tests of compressive strength, water tightness, chloride migration test resistance to freezing and thawing with de-icing salts, carbonation and gas permeability of the samples were carried out. All tests were carried out in the laboratory and according to previously determined standards.
