Abstract

Iako je cement najkorišteniji materijal u građevinskoj industriji njegova uporaba znatno utječe na okoliš u negativnom smislu zbog oslobađanja velikih količina ugljikovog dioksida prilikom njegove proizvodnje. U ovome radu ispitivana su trajnosna i mehanička svojstva betona na bazi kalcij aluminatnog cementa s dodatkom zgure. Kalcij aluminatni cement u betonu se koristi zbog svojih svojstava brzog očvršćivanja te otpornosti na različita kemijska djelovanja. Zamjenom dijela kalcij aluminatnog cementa zgurom dolazi se do ekološki prihvatljivijih rješenja u proizvodnji betona. Osim toga, razlog korištenja zgure u betonima na bazi kalcij aluminatnog cementa je sprječavanje neželjenih reakcija pretvorbe hidrata koje se odvijaju u procesu hidratacije kalcij aluminatnog cementa. U radu su uspoređeni uzorci u kojima je 30 % kalcij aluminatnog cementa zamijenjeno zgurom s uzorcima na bazi čistog kalcij aluminatnog cementa. Svojstva koja su ispitana u svježem stanju su konzistencija slijeganjem, gustoća, temperatura i udio pora dok su u očvrsnulom stanju ispitane tlačna čvrstoća, vodonepropusnost, migracija klorida, karbonatizacija, plinopropusnost i otpornost na cikluse smrzavanja i odmrzavanja.

Abstract (english)

Although cement is the most used material in construction industry, its use significantly affects the enviroment in a negative sense due to the release of large amounts of carbon dioxide during its production. In this thesis, the durability and mechanical properties of concrete based on calcium aluminate cement with the addition of slag were investigated. Calcium aluminate cement is used in concrete due to its quick hardening properties and resistance to various chemical effects. Replacing part of the calcium aluminate cement with slag leads to more environmentally friendly solutions in the production of concrete. In addition, the reason for using slag in concretes based on calcium aluminate cement is to prevent unwanted hydrate conversion reactions that take place during the hydration process of calcium aluminate cement.
Samples in which 30 % of calcum aluminate cement is replaced by slag were compared with samples based on pure calcium aluminate cement. Properties tested in the fresh state were consistency measured through the slump test, density, temperature and pore proportion, while in the hardened state compressive strength, water permeability, chloride migration, carbonation, gas permeability and freeze-thaw resistance were tested.
