Abstract

Povećana uporaba biomase rezultat je trenda korištenja obnovljivih izvora energije. Nusproizvod izgaranja drvne biomase je pepeo drvne biomase (PDB). PDB ima potencijal korištenja u građevinskoj industriji, a kemijski sastav istoga je vrlo sličan hidrauličnom vapnu. Ovaj rad proučava mogućnost korištenja PDB-a kao zamjene za vapno u vapnenim kompozitima, koji se koriste za sanaciju povijesnih građevina. Rađena su istraživanja na četiri vrste letećih PDB-ova i hidrauličnom vapnu, te vapnenim pastama s različitim udjelima PDB-a. Ispitivanja su se provodila prema normi HRN EN 459-2:2021, a uključivala su određivanje granulometrijskog sastava, sadržaja slobodne vode, nasipne gustoće, postojanosti volumena, normirane konzistencije te početka i kraja vezivanja. Prikazana je klasifikacija PDB-a kao hidrauličnog vapna prema normi HRN EN 459- 1:2015, te utjecaj PDB-a na promjenu svojstava vapnenih pasti.

Abstract (english)

The increased use of biomass is the result of the trend of using renewable energy sources. A by-product of burning wood biomass is wood biomass ash (PDB). PDB has the potential to be used in the construction industry and its chemical composition is very similar to hydraulic lime. This paper studies the possibility of using PDB as a substitute for lime in lime composites, which are used for repair of historical buildings. Research was done on four types of flying PDBs and hydraulic lime, and lime pastes with different proportions of PDBs. The tests were carried out according to the HRN EN 459-2:2021 standard, and included the determination of particle size distribution, free water content, bulk density, soundness, standard consistency and determination of initial and final setting time. The classification of PDB as hydraulic lime according to the HRN EN 459-1:2015 standard is presented, as well as the influence of PDB on the change in the properties of lime pastes.
