Abstract

U svijetu postoji velika potražnja za cementom što uzrokuje velike ekološke probleme. Prilikom proizvodnje cementa u atmosferu se ispušta velika količina stakleničkih plinova. U cilju smanjenja emisije stakleničkih plinova Europska Unija se obvezala do 2030. udio energije iz obnovljivih izvora povećati do najmanje 32%. Drvna biomasa je glavni obnovljivi izvor energije te samim tim predstavlja važnu ulogu u ostvarivanju tog cilja. Povećanjem broja energana na drvnu biomasu povećava se količina pepela drvne biomase. Pepeo drvne biomase se u najvećoj mjeri odlaže što nije ekološki najprihvatljivije rješenje, stoga je potrebno pronaći prihvatljivija rješenja za odlaganje pepela koji nastaje izgaranjem biomase. Jedno od mogućih rješenja je i korištenje tog pepela kao komponente betona gdje bi se na taj način smanjila količina cementa što je bilo predmetom istraživanja ovog rada. Zbog nedovoljne istraženosti ovog područja na Zavodu za materijale Građevinskog fakulteta su provedena ispitivanja na ovu temu. Tema mojeg rada je obrada rezultata ispitivanja kapilarnog upijanja, upijanja vode, vodopropusnosti te otpornosti na mraz i sol koje smo proveli na uzorcima mješavina M5 i M11. Rezultati su uspoređeni s referentnom mješavinom M0 bez pepela drvne biomase. Rezultati ukazuju na slabija trajnosna svojstva od referentne mješavine u određenoj mjeri.

Abstract (english)

There is a great demand for cement in the world, which causes great environmental problems. During the production of cement, a large amount of greenhouse gases is released into the atmosphere. In order to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, the European Union has committed to increasing the share of energy from renewable sources to at least 32% by 2030. Wood biomass is the main renewable energy source and therefore plays an important role in achieving this goal. By increasing the number of wood biomass energy sources, the amount of wood biomass ash increases. Wood biomass ash is disposed of to the greatest extent, which is not the most environmentally acceptable solution, therefore it is necessary to find more acceptable solutions for the disposal of ash produced by burning biomass. One of the possible solutions is the use of that ash as a component of concrete, where the amount of cement would be reduced, which was the subject of research in this work. Due to the insufficient research of this area, tests on this topic were conducted at the Department of Materials of the Faculty of Civil Engineering. The subject of my work is the processing of the results of capillary absorption, water absorption, water permeability, and frost and salt resistance tests that we conducted on samples of mixtures M5 and M11. The results were compared with the reference mixture M0 without wood biomass ash. The results indicate weaker durability properties than the reference mixture to a certain extent.
