Abstract

Tema ovog diplomskog rada je provjera nosivosti laminiranih staklenih elemenata i općenito primjena staklenih konstrukcija u građevinarstvu. Rad pruža pregled staklenih konstrukcija i njihovih svojstava, istražujući njihovu primjenu u građevinskoj industriji te dajući dublje razumijevanje ove komponente u suvremenim arhitektonskim rješenjima. Na početku je dan pregled povijesti proizvodnje stakla koji donosi kontekst razvoja ovog materijala, te su detaljnije obrađena njegova mehanička svojstva kako bi se stvorilo temeljno razumijevanje materijala. U drugom dijelu rada fokus je na lomu stakla, odnosno nesavršenostima stakla te kako ih izbjeći. U svrhu toga analizirane su obrade stakla pri čemu je poseban naglasak na kaljenju i laminiranju stakla. Rad istražuje staklo kao građevinski materijal, analizira opterećenja koja djeluju na staklene elemente te spominje norme za proračun staklenih elemenata, najčešća ispitivanja stakla te konačno analizu provedenog ispitivanja na staklenoj nadstrešnici. Obrađeni su rezultati ispitivanja za staklene grede nadstrešnice te pokrovne staklene panele, a kasnije su elementi i simulirani u softveru.

Abstract (english)

The topic of this master’s thesis is the verification of the load-bearing capacity of laminated glass elements and the general application of glass structures in construction. The paper provides an overview of glass structures and their properties, exploring their use in the construction industry and offering a deeper understanding of this component in modern architectural solutions. At the outset, a historical overview of glass production is provided to provide context for the development of this material. The mechanical properties of glass are then examined in detail to establish a fundamental understanding of the material. In the second part of the paper, the focus is on glass fracture, specifically imperfections in glass and how to avoid them. For this purpose, glass treatments are analysed, with a special emphasis on thermally toughened and laminated glass. The paper explores glass as a construction material, analyses the loads acting on glass elements, and mentions standards for calculating glass components, common glass testing methods, and finally, the analysis of conducted testing on the glass canopy. The results of the testing for the glass beams of the canopy and the covering glass panels are discussed, and later these elements are simulated in software.
