Abstract

Izvođenjem građevinskih radova tlo se izlaže pritisku, tj. tlaku, koji izaziva smanjenje njegovog volumena. Konsolidacijom dolazi do slijeganja koje najveći izazov predstavlja u potpuno saturiranim sitnozrnim (koherentnim) tlima. Sitnozrna tla, kao što je glina, imaju nizak koeficijent propusnosti zbog kojeg se javlja velika vremenska razlika između nanošenja opterećenja i smanjenja vode u porama. Dakle, konsolidacija u sitnozrnim tlima traje duži period što za posljedicu ima duže trajanje slijeganja zbog čega se koriste različite metode ubrzanja konsolidacije. U ovom radu prikazan je utjecaj ugradnje vertikalnih drenova na konsolidaciju jednolično uslojenog tla te tla koji se sastoji od dva sloja koherentnog materijala. Proračun i analiza konsolidacije napravljeni su pomoću programa GGU Consolidate. Također su prikazane različite vrste vertikalnih drenova te prednost njihove ugradnje.

Abstract (english)

When a soil layer is subjected to a compressive stress, such as during the construction of a structure, it will exhibit a certain amount of compression. When saturated clayey soils – which have a low coefficient of permeability – are subjected to a compressive stress due to a foundation loading, the pore water pression will immediately increase; however, because of the low permeability of the soil, there will be a time lag between the application of load and the extrusion of the pore water and, thus, the settlement. This phenomenon, which is called consolidation, is the subject of this thesis. There are different methods of acceleration of consolidation. In this thesis, acceleration of consolidation by means of vertical drains is shown. The examples of uniformly layered soil and soil consisted of two layers are analysed. The problems were solved by using software GGU Consolidate. In the thesis, various types of vertical drains and the advantages of their installations are also shown.
