Abstract

Tema ovog diplomskog rada je „Suvremeni pristup upravljanju voda u Republici Hrvatskoj“. Povijesni razvoj upravljanja vodama na području Hrvatske je temelj za razumijevanje današnje situacije u vodnom gospodarstvu i sektoru upravljanja vodom. Od ranih početaka razvoja znanja o upravljanju vodama i vodnim dobro na području Hrvatske su se primjenjivale najmodernije tehnike za dano vrijeme. I u novije vrijeme upravljanje vodom u Hrvatskoj je na visokoj razini s malim zaostatkom za europskim standardima. No uz EU poticaje i nove direktive Hrvatska je krenula sa uzlaznim trendom u kvaliteti i suvremenosti infrastrukture za upravljanje vodama. I tako stigla nadomak trenutnom europskom standardu.
Glavni segmenti za poboljšanje su sanacija trenutne infrastrukture zbog dotrajalosti i gubitaka koje takva situacija donosi, te bolja regulacija naplate usluga i financiranje novih projekata. Najveća poboljšanja uvidimo u porastu kvalitete vode, zaštiti vodnih dobara i zaštiti od štetnog djelovanja vode.

Abstract (english)

The topic of this thesis is “Modern Approaches to Water Management in the Republic of Croatia.” The historical development of water management in Croatia provides a foundation for understanding the current state of the water economy and water management sector. From the early beginnings of knowledge about water management and water resources, Croatia has applied the most advanced techniques of its time. Even today, water management in Croatia is at a high level, with only a slight lag behind European standards. However, with EU incentives and new directives, Croatia has embarked on an upward trend in the quality and modernity of water management infrastructure, bringing it close to current European standards.
Key areas for improvement include the renovation of existing infrastructure due to its deterioration and the losses it incurs, as well as better regulation of service charges and financing for new projects. The greatest improvements are observed in the increased quality of water, protection of water resources, and protection against the harmful effects of water.
