Abstract

Bazaltna vlakna stekla su popularnost primjene u betonu zbog svojih izvrsnih mehaničkih svojstava i ekološki prihvatljivih postupaka proizvodnje. Postoje dvije vrste vlakana koja su dobivena različitim procesima proizvodnje i s različitim svojstvima. Kratka vlakna se proizvode tehnikom puhanja (Junkers metoda) i kontinuirana nastaju Spinneret metodom. Bazaltna vlakna potpuno su prirodni i održivi materijal. Sirovina je lako dostupna i tijekom postupaka proizvodnje se ne dodaju dodatni aditivi. Bazaltna vlakna pozitivno djeluju na okoliš jer se mogu reciklirati. Točka topljenja bazalta je vrlo visoka. Kada se reciklira kompozit koji sadrži bazaltna vlakna, ostaje bazalt u obliku praha koji još uvijek ima veliku vrijednost i može se ponovno koristiti. Proizvodi od bazaltnih vlakana su sigurni, nisu toksični, kancerogeni, ne reagiraju s vodom ili zrakom i nemaju štetne reakcije s kemikalijama. Sva ta pozitivna svojstva potaknula su na istraživanje učinka bazaltnih vlakana na beton. Istraživanjem je dobiveno da se bazaltnim vlaknima povećava vlačna čvrstoća i žilavost nakon pojave pukotine te svojstvo postojanosti pri visokim temperaturama poboljšavaju trajnost betona.

Abstract (english)

Basalt fiber has gained popularity in concrete reinforcing applications due to its excellent mechanical properties and an environmentally friendly manufacturing process. There are two types of fibres, which are made by means of different methods and possess different properties. Short fibres are produced using the melt blowing technique (Junkers method) and continuous fibres are formed using the Spinneret method. Basalt fiber is completely natural and sustainable material. The raw material is readily available and during the manufacturing procedure is added no additives. Basalt fibres have a positive effect on the environment due to the possibility of recycling. The melting point of basalt is very high, hence when a composite is recycled, the basalt in the form of powder is left over from the process and obtained. This powder still has great value and can be reused in applications. Basalt produced are safe, they are nontoxic, noncancerous, do not react with air or water and do not have harmful reactions with chemicals. All these positive properties are encouraged to research the effect of basalt fibres in concrete. The investigations have determined that the basalt fibres increases tensile strength and toughness after first - crack in concrete and property of resistance at the high temperatures improve the durability of concrete.
