Abstract

Jedan od najvećih potrošača različitih vrsta materijala kao i jedan od najvećih proizvođača otpada u Republici Hrvatskoj sektor je građevinarstva. Građevni otpad uključujući otpad od rušenja, predstavlja ključni problem današnjeg društva. Na razini Europske unije tijek građevinskog otpada i otpada od rušenja smatra se prioritetnim, jer ima velik potencijal za ponovnu uporabu, recikliranje i druge načine oporabe materijala. Za rješavanje problema građevnog otpada, nužno je njime pravilno gospodariti. Pravilnim gospodarenjem građevnim otpadom i otpadom od rušenja, može se pridonijeti održivosti i kvaliteti života, smanjenju troškova te doprinijeti učinkovitom iskorištavanju prirodnih resursa. U Republici Hrvatskoj stopa oporabe građevinskog otpada za 2018. godinu iznosila je 58 %. Završni rad daje uvid u način gospodarenja građevnim otpadom u Republici Hrvatskoj i probleme u dosadašnjim ekonomskim, zakonskim i tehnološkim procesima upravljanja građevnim otpadom, jer bi Hrvatska do 2020. godine trebala postići 70 % materijalne oporabe.

Abstract (english)

One of the largest consumers of various types of materials as well as one of the largest producers of waste in the Republic of Croatia is the construction sector. Construction waste, including demolition waste, is a key problem of today's society. At the level of the European Union, the flow of construction and demolition waste is considered a priority, as it has great potential for reuse, recycling and other ways of recovering materials. To solve the problem of construction waste, it is necessary to manage it properly. Proper management of construction and demolition waste can contribute to sustainability and quality of life, reduce costs and contribute to the efficient use of natural resources. In the Republic of Croatia, the recovery rate of construction waste for 2018 was 58%. The final paper provides an insight into the method of construction waste management in the Republic of Croatia and the problems in the current economic, legal and technological processes of construction waste management, because Croatia should achieve 70% of material recovery by 2020.
