Abstract

Cilj ovog rada je istražiti važnost upravljanja ljudskim potencijalima u građevinskim tvrtkama. Upravljanje ljudskim potencijalima je funkcija, odnosno aktivnost koja služi za postizanje konkurentske prednosti i ostvarivanje strateških ciljeva poduzeća. Stoga se ističe kao jedan od bitnijih faktora uspješnosti svakog poduzeća. U prvom dijelu rada opisan je razvoj upravljanja ljudskim potencijalima, te glavni ciljevi i zadaće koje ima danas. Nadalje su prikazane posebnosti upravljanja ljudskim potencijalima u građevinskim tvrtkama, s naglaskom na specifičnosti građevinske industrije, kao i trenutnih problema u praksi poput nedostatka kvalificirane radne snage i multikulturalnosti. Spoznaje iz pregledane literature provjerene su na temelju studije slučaja građevinske tvrtke Institut IGH d.d. Proveden je intervju sa specijalistom ljudskih potencijala kako bi se upoznalo s praksom upravljanja ljudskim potencijalima unutar Instituta IGH d.d. Nakon toga je formiran i anketni upitnik za zaposlenike koji je ispitao zadovoljstvo zaposlenika s takvom praksom upravljanja. Istraživanje je potvrdilo kako korištene metode motivacije u tvrtki uvelike utječu na zadovoljstvo zaposlenika.

Abstract (english)

The aim of this thesis is to investigate the importance of human resource management in construction companies. Human resources management is an activity that serves to achieve a competitive advantage and the strategic goals of the company. Therefore, it stands out as one of the most important factors in the success of any company. The first part of the thesis describes the development of human resources management, and the main goals and assignments it has today. Furthermore, the specifics of human resources management in construction companies are presented, with emphasis on the specifics of the construction industry, as well as current problems in practice such as lack of skilled labour and multiculturalism. The findings from the reviewed literature were verified based on a case study of the construction company Institut IGH d.d. An interview was conducted with a human resources specialist to get acquainted with the practice of human resources management within the IGH d.d. Institute. Subsequently, an employee questionnaire was formed to examine employee satisfaction with such management practices. The research confirmed that the methods of motivation used in the company greatly affect employee satisfaction.
