Abstract

Bailey konstrukcija je čelična struktura sastavljena od rešetkastih dijelova približne duljine 3 metra koji tvore lančasti nosač. Konstrukcije je prvi projektirao Sir Donald Bailey prije početka II. Svjetskog rata, tijekom kojeg doživljavaju masovnu primjenu. Danas se koriste u izvanrednim okolnostima i kao pomoć prilikom gradnje drugih vrsta objekata. Glavni dijelovi konstrukcije su rešetka, poprečni i podužni nosač. Montiraju se od unaprijed pripremljenih modularnih elemenata, koji vrlo brzo mogu biti zamijenjeni u potreban oblik. Za sklapanje mosta je dovoljna samo radna snaga. U ovom radu, pobliže su opisane zajedničke karakteristike svih Bailey konstrukcija i njihova mogućnost primjene. Pokazan je i način odabira svakog konstrukcijskog elementa kao i broj potrebnog ljudstva te trajanje montaže.

Abstract (english)

Bailey construction is a steel structure composed of lattice parts approximately 3 meters long that form a chain support. The constructions were first designed by Sir Donald Bailey before the beginning of the World War II., during which they experienced mass application. Today they are used in extraordinary circumstances and as an aid when building other types of facilities. The main parts of the structure are a grid, a transverse and a lengthy support. They are mounted from pre-prepared modular elements, which can be quickly replaced into the required shape. Only manpower is enough to assemble the bridge. In this paper, the common characteristics of all Bailey structures and their ability to apply are described more closely. It also presents the method of selecting each structural element as well as the number of manpower required and the duration of the assembly.
