Abstract

U ovom diplomskom radu objašnjeno je što su polimeri te pobliže svojstva i primjena pjenastih polimera koji su postali sastavni dio građevine kao struke. U prvoj cjelini definira se pojam polimera te se prikazuje njihova struktura, podjela i posebna termomehanička svojstva. U drugoj cjelini ulazi se dublje u temu pjenastih polimera gdje se navode njihove osnovne značajke, podjele te svojstva i korist najvažnijih pjenastih polimernih materijala. U posljednjoj, trećoj cjelini prikazano je tlačno ispitivanje na pjenastom (ekspandiranom) polistirenu te ekstrudiranom polistirenu kako bi se dobili njihovi bitni parametri.

Abstract (english)

This thesis explains what polymers are and shows in more detail the properties and application of foam polymers, which have become an integral part of civil engineering. In the first part of this thesis, the term polymer is defined and their structure, classification and special thermomechanical properties are presented. In the second part of the thesis, the subject of foam polymers is explored in depth, listing their features, classifications, and the properties and applications of the most important foam polymer materials. In the last, third part, compression tests of expanded polystyrene and extruded polystyrene are shown in order to obtain their essential parameters.
