Abstract

Današnja nestabilna okolina utječe na pojavu kriza koje prijete poslovanju i opstanku poduzeća, te zahtijevaju veću angažiranost menadžmenta. Krizni menadžment je proces upravljanja krizama čiji je cilj minimiziranje negativnih utjecaja, brzi i kvalitetni odgovori i što bolja priprema protiv svih vrsta krize. U radu se stavlja naglasak na važnost ranog otkrivanja pokazatelja krize i na značaj strateškog upravljanja u sprječavanju kriza i njihovih negativnih učinaka. Strateško upravljanje može pretvoriti krizu u priliku koja donosi pozitivne organizacijske promjene i konkurentsku prednost nakon krize. Građevinarstvo, kao jedna od najvažnijih djelatnosti gospodarstva, je zbog svoje složenosti jako pogođeno krizama. Prikazane su vrste kriza i njihov utjecaj na građevinski sektor, te otpornost koja predstavlja sposobnost brzog oporavka i prilagodbe promjenjivim uvjetima. U Republici Hrvatskoj gospodarstvo nije otporno na krize, a pogotovo građevinski sektor koji je bio najviše pogođen svjetskom financijskom krizom. Njezin utjecaj će se pokazati kroz poslovanje dva velika hrvatska građevinska poduzeća.

Abstract (english)

Today's unstable environment has an impact on the emergence of crises that threaten the business and survival of companies, and require greater management commitment. Crisis management is the process by which an organization deals with crises, with main goals of minimizing negative impacts, quick and quality responses and better preparation against all types of crises. The paper emphasizes the importance of early detection of crisis indicators and strategic management in crisis prevention and their negative effects. Strategic management can turn a crisis into an opportunity that brings positive organizational changes and competitive advantage. Construction, as one of the most important sectors that contributes greatly to the economy, is severely affected by crises due to its complexity. The types of crises and their impact on the construction sector are presented, as well as resilience, which represents the ability to recover quickly and adapt to changing conditions. In the Republic of Croatia, the economy is not resilient to crises, especially the construction sector, which was most affected by the global financial crisis. Its influence will be shown through the operations of two big Croatian construction companies.
