Abstract

Stari most izgrađen je 1566. godine kao jednolučna građevina koja povezuje lijevu i desnu obalu rijeke Neretve. Uslijed sukoba koji su se odvijali na području Mostara došlo je do rušenja mosta i okolnih objekata uz most. Nedugo zatim, pristupilo se rekonstrukciji mosta koja predstavlja simbol pomirenja i međunarodne suradnje. Stari most zajedno s lokalitetom 2005. godine uvršten je na UNESCO-ov popis svjetske baštine. Kako bi se očuvala iznimna univerzalna vrijednost ovog kulturnog dobra potrebno je provoditi radove na održavanju, te redovne periodične preglede. Održavanje povijesnih građevina od velike je važnosti ne samo za građevine, nego i za društvo. Kao i svim drugim radovima, tako i radovima na održavanju potrebno je pristupiti planirano i na vrijeme kako bi se izbjegle štete koje mogu nastati kao posljedica lošeg održavanja. U svrhu podizanja svijesti o važnosti održavanja kulturne baštine izrađen je prijedlog plana održavanja Starog mosta.

Abstract (english)

The Old Bridge was built in 1566 as a single-arch building that connects the left and right banks of the Neretva River. Due to a war in the Mostar area, the bridge and surrounding buildings along the bridge were demolished. Shortly afterwards, the bridge was reconstructed as a symbol of reconciliation and international cooperation. The Old Bridge was included in the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2005. In order to preserve the exceptional universal value of this cultural asset, it is necessary to carry out maintenance work and conduct regular inspections of the bridge. The maintenance of historic buildings is of great importance not only to buildings but also to society. As with all other work, maintenance work must be approached in a planned and timely manner to avoid damage that may result from poor maintenance. In order to raise awareness of the importance of maintaining cultural heritage, a plan proposal for the maintenance of the Old Bridge was given.
