Abstract
Transparentni drveni biokompoziti na bazi biopolimera predstavljaju novu grupu održivih materijala koji spajaju drvo s bio-baziranim polimerima sa svrhom dobivanja funkcionalnih i poboljšanih optičkih te mehaničkih svojstava. U ovom radu istraženi su proces proizvodnje, svojstva (mehanička i optička) i potencijalne primjene ovih biokompozita s naglaskom na održivost. Unatoč izazovima ovi materijali obećavajući su za ekološki osvješteno građenje i dizajn. Rad ističe njihov potencijal za velik utjecaj na industrije te promicanje i pokretanje zelenije budućnosti.
Abstract (english)
Bio-based transparent wood biocomposites are a sustainable innovation that merges wood with bio-based polymers for enhanced optical and mechanical properties. The manufacturing process, properties (both mechanical and optical), and potential applications of these biocomposites are examined, with a focus on sustainability. Despite challenges, these materials hold great promise for enviromentally friendly and conscious construction and design. The paper underlines their potential to transform industries and kick-start a greener future.
