Abstract

Zbog svojih velikih prijevoznih kapaciteta, sigurnosti i brzine, željeznički promet je jedan od glavnih oblik prometa. Dosadašnji razvoj željeznica najviše je obilježila elektrifikacija te primjena električnih lokomotiva, zatim primjena vlakova velikih brzina, a sljedeća je faza primjena autonomnih vlakova. Već danas se na željezničkim prugama sve više može pronaći primjera autonomnih vlakova, odnosno vlakova bez vozača. Do sada se ovakvi vlakovi najčešće primjenjuju u metro sustavima, odnosno u zatvorenim sustavima gdje je lakše osigurati sigurnost prometovanja. U ovome su radu analizirane karakteristike autonomnih vlakova i njihov način funkcioniranja. Istaknute su najvažnije prednosti i nedostaci. Objašnjene su razine automatizacije te njihova primena na željezničkoj infrastrukturi. Također, dani su primjeri autonomnih vlakova u svijetu.

Abstract (english)

Due to its large transport capacity, safety and speed, rail transport is one of the main forms of transport. The development of rail transport so far has been characterized by electrification and the use of electric locomotives, then using high-speed trains, and the next phase is the use of autonomous trains. Examples of autonomous trains, i.e. trains without a driver, are becoming more common on the railway infrastructure. So far, such trains are mainly used in metro systems, i.e. closed systems where it is easier to ensure traffic safety. In this paper, the characteristics of autonomous trains and their operation are analyzed. The main advantages and disadvantages are highlighted. The degrees of automation and their application to railway infrastructure are explained. Examples of autonomous trains in the world are also given.
