Abstract

Kruženje vode na Zemlji, koja uključuje promjene agregatnog stanja vode i pet ključnih procesa, omogućava održavanje života na planeti. Hidrološki ciklus pokreće toplinska energija sunca potičući isparavanje vode s površina oceana i kopnenih područja, kondenzaciju u atmosferi te stvaranje oborina koje hrane nove cikluse kretanja vode. Ovaj rad fokusira se na uspješno stvaranje modela otjecanja primjenom metode sukcesivnog otjecanja uz korištenje Multiple-Flow-Direction (MFD) metode za područje vodotoka Kupice. Važno je napomenuti da su točni reljefni podaci ključni za uspješnu primjenu ove metode. U tu svrhu koristio se digitalni model visina (EU-DEM v1.1) rezolucije od 25 m i besplatno dostupan preko Copernicusa. Nakon detaljne pripreme podataka i postavljanja početnih uvjeta, provedena je kalibracija modela koristeći mjereni protok trajanja 1% na postaji Izvor Kupice. Model daje rezultate u obliku prostorne raspodjele dubine vode po slivu, a korištenjem Manningove jednadžbe se to na lokaciji postaje pretvorilo u protok. Usporedba između modeliranih i mjerenih vrijednosti protoka omogućila je procjenu točnosti modela, te je točnost ocjenjena kao dobra. Metodologija sukcesivnog otjecanja s MFD metodom predstavlja moćan alat u inicijalnoj procjeni opasnosti od poplava i pripremi za nepredviđene vremenske uvjete.

Abstract (english)

The water cycle on Earth, which includes changes in the aggregate state of water, enables life on the planet to be sustained. The hydrological cycle is driven by the heat energy of the sun, encouraging the evaporation of water from the surface of the oceans and land areas, condensation in the atmosphere and the formation of precipitation that feeds new cycles of water flow. This paper focuses on the creation of a runoff model using the successive runoff method with the use of the Multiple-Flow-Direction (MFD) method for the Kupica watercourse. It is important to note that accurate relief data is crucial for the successful application of this method. For this purpose, was used a digital elevation model (EU-DEM v1.1) with a resolution of 25 m and freely available through Copernicus. After detailed data preparation and setting of initial conditions, model calibration was carried out using the measured discharge with the annual exceedance probability of 1% at the Izvor Kupice station. The comparison between the modeled and measured discharge values enabled the assessment of the accuracy of the model, and the accuracy was assessed as good. The methodology of successive runoff with the MFD method represents a powerful tool in the initial assessment of flood risk and preparation for unforeseen weather conditions.
