Abstract

Staklo kao građevinski materijal posljednjih desetljeća jedan je od najpopularnijih materijala za dekoriranje i gradnju. Svoje početke uporabe u građevinarstvu pronalazi u stolariji, a kasnijim razvojem industrije prelazi na uporabu nosivih elemenata i fasada. Intenzivan razvoj građevinarstva uza tehnologiju i tehnološke procese donio je niz novih inovacija i spojeva materijala kako bi se dos􀆟gli novi dome􀆟 dimenzije građevina. Razvijene su staklene fasade koje su postale nezaobilazne u građevini kod građevina za tercijarne djelatnos􀆟. Tema rada su staklene fasade, početak razvoja i mogućnos􀆟 koje pružaju. Ovaj rad je osvrt dosadašnjeg razvoja staklenih fasada i njezinih dijelova, mogućnos􀆟 razvoja i proširenja uporabe s ciljem objašnjavanja svojstava i zahtjeva kojima staklena fasada mora udovolji􀆟. Staklena fasada objašnjava se kao cjelina i po dominantnim materijalima od kojih se izrađuje, odnosno stakla i metala.

Abstract (english)

In recent decades, glass has become one of the most popular materials for decora􀆟on and construc􀆟on. Its ini􀆟al use in construc􀆟on was in carpentry, but with the later development of the industry, glass transi􀆟oned to the use of hanging elements and facades. The rapid growth of construc􀆟on, alongside technology and technological processes, has led to numerous innova􀆟ons and material combina􀆟ons, enabling new achievements in building dimensions. Glass facades have been developed and have become indispensable in buildings intended for ter􀆟ary ac􀆟vi􀆟es. The topic of this paper is glass facades, their early development, and the possibili􀆟es they offer. This work provides an overview of the current development of glass facades and their components, the poten􀆟al for further growth, and expanded applica􀆟ons describing the proper􀆟es and requirements that glass facades must meet. Glass facades are explained both as a whole and in terms of the dominant materials from which they are made, primarily glass and metal.
