Abstract

Geopolimeri su alumosilikatni materijali koji nastaju ak5vacijom sirovih produkata boga5h
alumijevim i silikatnim oksidima u prisustvu visoko-alkalnog medija. U posljednja 2 desetljeća
sve se više razvijaju kao održiva zamjena za cement kako bi se smanjila emisija CO2. Za njihovu
se proizvodnju koriste materijali koji nastaju kao nus-produk5 u različi5m industrijama ili
reciklirani građevinski otpadni materijali, čime se rješava problem njihovog odlaganja i
zagađenja okoliša. Iz dosadašnje... More se literature može zaključi5 da geopolimere karakterizira bolja
otpornost na visoke temperature od one običnog Portland cementa, a pravilnim
projek5ranjem sastava mogu ostvari5 jednaka ili bolja mehanička svojstva od običnog
cementa. Ovaj je rad usredotočen na različite vrste prekursora koje se mogu primijeni5 za
izradu geopolimera te je na temelju pregleda literature određeno koji geopolimeri, ovisno o
prekursoru od kojeg su izrađeni, razvijaju najbolja svojstva prilikom izlaganja povišenim
temperaturama. Zaključeno je da najmanji pad čvrstoće i strukturnu cjelovitost najčešće
ostvaruju geopolimeri na bazi letećeg pepela. Dobri se rezulta5 mogu pos5ći i sa
metakaolinom, zgurom i različi5m keramičkim otpadnim materijalima uz pažljivo projek5ran i

Abstract (english)

Geopolymers are aluminosilicate materials that form through the ac5va5on of raw products
rich in aluminum and silicate oxides in the presence of a highly alkaline medium. Over the past
two decades, they have increasingly developed as a sustainable alterna5ve to cement to
reduce CO2 emissions. Their produc5on uses materials that are by-products from various
industries or recycled construc5on waste materials, addressing issues of disposal and
environmental pollu5on. From the exis5ng... More literature, it can be concluded that geopolymers
are characterized by beUer resistance to high temperatures compared to ordinary Portland
cement, and with proper composi5on design, they can achieve equal or superior mechanical
proper5es to conven5onal cement. This paper focuses on different types of precursors that
can be applied to produce geopolymers and, based on a literature review, determines which
geopolymers, depending on the precursor from which they are made, develop the best
proper5es when exposed to elevated temperatures. It is concluded that geopolymers based
on fly ash most frequently exhibit the smallest decrease in strength and structural integrity.
